A1.2 — Lesson 1: Family
Intro
Talking about your family is one of the first things you'll do in real German conversations. This lesson gives you core family vocabulary and introduces possessive articles (mein, dein, sein, ihr) so you can say "my brother," "your mother," and so on with correct gender agreement.

Grammar Point: Possessive Articles
Possessive articles work like ein/eine — they take the same endings as the indefinite article and change depending on the gender of the noun that follows (in the nominative case):

Rule: no ending before a masculine or neuter noun (mein Vater, mein Kind); add -e before a feminine noun or any plural noun (meine Mutter, meine Eltern).
Note: euer drops its second "e" before an ending: eure Mutter, not euere Mutter.
