Grammar Point: es gibt + Accusative
Es gibt ("there is / there are") is used to say something exists — it's always singular (gibt, never geben) regardless of how many things follow, and the noun after it takes the accusative case.
Es gibt einen Supermarkt in der Nähe. (there is a supermarket nearby — masc. accusative: ein → einen) Es gibt eine Apotheke im Zentrum. (feminine — unchanged in accusative) Es gibt ein Rathaus in jeder Stadt. (neuter — unchanged in accusative) Es gibt viele Parks in Berlin. (plural — no article needed)
Recall from A1.2: only the masculine article changes in the accusative (der→den, ein→einen); feminine, neuter, and plural stay the same as nominative.
You can also negate it: Es gibt keinen Park hier. (There's no park here.)
